WWE recorded the January 26th episode of Smackdown last night, December 15th, following the end of the live Raw in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This Friday, December 19th, Smackdown will be live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and WWE will tape the December 22 Christmas episode of Raw when that show is done.
This is according to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select and Wrestlevotes Live.
WWE talent will get Christmas off for the second year in a row, from the 20th until the start of the Holiday Tour of house shows kicking off in Baltimore December 26th. Yes, the same night they will be running a taped Smackdown.
The company will follow this up with the sure to be stacked Raw Season Premier on Netflix from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Two titles, including the World Heavyweight Championship, are already on the line.
Then it’s off to Europe for a tour, and back to Canada for Smackdown and Saturday’s Night Main Event in Montreal, followed by Raw in Toronto. January culminates with the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.
